Christmas is all packed up and I’m done with decorating for a WHILE. At the same time, New Year’s Eve is very special to both Adam and I! When the ball drops, it’ll be six years since we first kissed! Time flies! Our New Year’s tradition has always been to stay home, eat chinese food and watch movies till midnight, like we did the first time. After that, we drink and light the fireworks. Since Dylan is a bit older, the tradition has slowly evolved to include him in the festivities, and he loves it! This year, I’m making a drink AND dessert station that our sweet boy is really looking forward to!
If you’re looking for a few last minute ideas to make your evening extra special, I think you’ll enjoy this! I created this drink station around my gold bar cart, because it’s very functional, but a console table or even your dining table would be perfect for this!
The cake I bought included this gold cardboard stand, which was then placed atop one of my large candle holders for height.
Rolos are great for their gold foil and yummy too.
Sparkly silver horns with toothpick tags, Dylan is going to go crazy at midnight!
Different sized balloons were taped to the wall with double sided tape!
I placed gold rock candy inside plastic champagne glasses for a little fun and glam!
Who needs Champagne? I’m team Prosecco all the way!
I placed all the extra toothpick labels inside an apothecary jar to write out some resolutions.
