Welcome back, friends!
It’s been quite a bit since last I blogged, but it felt so good, to say the least. Naturally, I’m happy to be back and the holidays are a time filled with inspiration everywhere.
As you can imagine, I too cannot wait to put up our Christmas tree. However, I couldn’t pass up my turkey and more importantly, my pumpkins are still kicking ass. How could I not? Like our lifestyle, this tablescape holds a boho but relaxed vibe, reinforced with neutrals indicative of the season along with some personal decorative touches!
Would you believe if I told you these are the same pumpkins I had outside for the entire month of October, surrounded by halloween decor? I know, it’s bananas. To add to the linear aspect of the macrame runner, I purchased a single bunch of eucalyptus and garnished it over the runner. I filled two small wines glasses with water and a few carnations in a pale yellow tone. The simplistic tone they add to the table was more than enough.
The gather sign was so sweet and I couldn’t pass it up on my last Target trip. It looks pretty idea on my wood paneling and will get reused next year for certain. I know you’re tired of those candles, but I love them, not to mention the easiest DIY ever.
The real star of the show in all of this is Ralphie, my white turkey tureen, which does not plan on having any soup inside. Those were his exact words, actually. haha. You can purchase a few like him over at Pottery Barn and Williams-Sonoma.
I’d say Thanksgiving is as good a time as any to pull out the fancy china. My husband also started to question why we’d gotten a bag of 20 apples when we don’t (really? that’s a bit far fetched) eat apples. I personally think that’s neither here nor there considering the complemented the table quite nicely.
AND, the dogs love apples. They really do.
This space feels cozy and comforting for a night meant to be surrounded by loved ones. After eating all the things and all the side dishes, we’ll put up our tree. What a happy day, indeed.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all and thanks for stopping by!
